Ceremony
What is the dress code?
We are requesting guests attend in semi-formal attire. Liam is still googling what that means, so don't worry too much.
When planning footwear, keep in mind that the ceremony will be outdoors. May evenings can get cool as the sun sets. There will be gravel, turf, and other uneven surfaces.
The welcome dinner (Friday night) will be a more casual affair. Please come as you are.
Are kids invited?
Any children specified on the invitation and your RSVP are welcome to attend all wedding events.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests, beyond those listed on your invitation. Thank you for your understanding.
Trailer park wedding?
Yes! Inspired by Carolyn and Doug's (Liam's parents) new lifestyle on the road in their 28' Airstream Trailer, we decided to host our wedding at Waypoint Ventura.
Waypoint is a beautiful spot, with vintage and retro-styled trailers set up as hotel rooms. It is a small and communal camp-like property just a few blocks from the beach. Come for the wedding, stay for the Cornhole, fire pits, and outdoor evenings in the cool CA spring breeze.
Travel, Accommodations, and Logistics
I'm staying in a trailer at Waypoint, but don't know which one?
We're doing our best to maximize the number of guests we can host at Waypoint, but this requires flexibility, up until the celebration weekend. We'll share your exact trailer assignment as you arrive on Friday, May 29, but will confirm that you have one assigned and the general size sometime this summer. Rest assured that we're shooting to make sure everyone finds a comfy bed in a hotel or trailer. Please reach out if you have specific needs.
Will there be parking at the venue?
There will be parking at your trailer for guests staying at Waypoint. There will also be accessible parking at the venue for those who need it. We ask that you specify this on your RSVP.
For other guests, there will be parking options within several blocks (parking map coming soon).
Can I Uber to the venue?
Yes, Uber and Lyft are both available in Ventura.
Am I allowed to take or post photos at your wedding?
We ask that guests respect our "unplugged" ceremony - we will have photographers capturing these moments and will share their photos for everyone. We ask politely for you to refrain taking photos during the ceremony so we can all be present for this moment together. At the reception, feel free to take all the photos you'd like!
